New Zealand, a country that has offered many award winning wines over time, offers you Lookout Point Chardonnay 2011. This is a dry, white wine with and alcohol level of thirteen and a half percent, made out of Chardonnay grapes, vintage of 2011. The price for such a bottle circles around sixteen dollars per bottle and considering what this wine has to offer to you that is simply put: a bargain.

History

Behind the Lookout Point Chardonnay 2011 is the winemaker who was White Winemaker of the Year at the Japan International Wine Challenge in 2007, Grant Edmonds. This man has worked in France and Australia, and has won awards and helped propel New Zealand into a world-class reputation of making wines and especially Chardonnay wine. The name of the wine originates in New Zealand and the wine itself has been named after a lighthouse at the tip of Cape Reigna. Cape Reigna is a maritime beacon; in fact it is the northern-most point of New Zealand.

Taste and composition

Lookout Point Chardonnay 2011 has been assembled from fruits from Grant’s own Estate and its tastes are made up of melon, pear and almond. All of these tastes bring together a very fresh wine which would go splendid with a little heavier dinner like grilled or roasted meat. Its bitter sweetness would balance out a heavier meal and it would be better enjoyed in the company of friends and family. Simply enjoying this bottle of wine is not enough, sharing it with friends and family will make this a memorable experience.

Lookout Point Chardonnay 2011

To sum up, Lookout Point Chardonnay 2011 is a medium-bodied, dry, white wine from New Zealand. A very famous winemaker stands behind the taste of this incredible wine which has even gotten the distinction of being named after the northern-most point in New Zealand, thus stretching out into the cold as to prove and illustrate the fresh feeling one would get when they took a sip from this coveted wine. Simply reading about it is not enough, but we are sure it is enough to make one’s mouth water after such a taste and it would certainly entice curiosity. This is the kind of bottle that should not be missing from a meal that could be a bit heavier and most importantly, it shouldn’t miss from a nice family dinner not to mention its stature in a nice friendly gathering.
